Previously found Spanish Plurals/Strings in the app teardown v7.19.0

There were also job listings floating about on here somewhere in the recent past.

I understand it’s going to be a separate operation to Monzo UK, but if we could get fee-free ATM withdrawal in Spain that would be :ok_hand:t3::heart_eyes:.

This is already the case

Monzo doesn’t charge the fees, but as a non-EU state, we get charged for using most EU ATMs these days and the fees vary in-between banks.

If you’re a Revolut user and you use a Revolut-branded ATM in Spain (there’s a lot of them popping up around the major cities / tourist areas) - then that is fee free, including on a Standard plan. Also, when withdrawing cash from a Revolut ATM the normal £1000 exchange limit doesn’t apply (for a Standard account) - it’s unlimited exchange.

Might be worth knowing for UK users who are travelling to Spain.

Eg, availability in Barcelona:

Thank you. They’re only in Barcelona and Madrid at the moment. If I’m in the cities I’d just use my cards (especially with Barcelona’s reputation for pickpockets). Cash is only needed for markets and small businesses outside cities tbh.

I can’t get on with Revolut and closed my account a few months ago. :waving_hand::sweat_smile:

Is there any chance existing Monzo users will get early access to Monzo Spain? :crossed_fingers:

I’m currently living in Málaga and would love to use it here

This happened while we were in the EU as well

Hopefully they roll them out everywhere! Also would make a lot of sense if you could pay cash into them, but I’m guessing that isn’t a thing? Revolut could eat the “oh no I have euros now I need to change them back” market by offering the fee free conversion of cash back to pounds via their account.

It’s probably been answered (but CBA to look). Does this mean you could in theory have a Euro or Multi-currency card?

Unlikely. I think you have to be resident in Spain (or Ireland for the Irish branch) and your account will be the currency of the country of residence. Not multi-currency.
