Monzo Plus: Custom categories feedback

The new custom categories for Monzo plus are great, however it would be nice to set them so they are sub categories of other categories, e.g I might have bills > subscriptions, or food > take away etc.

This way you could see what you spend in a category, or filter down to a sub category.

Another useful feature would be to sort categories, and have a quick search for them when setting one against a transaction.

Totally agree! Custom categories are great, but as soon as I started creating them, I felt I could have done with defining some of them as sub-categories of existing categories.

I don’t see the UI as being too confusing for users, for e.g. you could drag-and-drop categories like you would apps on your phone, and get your sub-categories to appear ‘inside’ your categories… like an app folder
