Monzo Logo Design Change?

(Tony, Secret Lemonade Drinker) #83

Yes, but does it pop?

(Sacha Zarb) #84

The :monzo: is missing from the new :rocket:Investor Cards.

Saying that, I quiet like the new social media look

(Jamie 🏳️‍🌈) #85

Effing teal. I don’t believe it.

(Emma (still not the app)) #86

Where’s the teal? That’s too green for teal

(Jamie 🏳️‍🌈) #88

Not real teal. But very close to a Starling teal. :joy:

Close enough

(Tony, Secret Lemonade Drinker) #90

It’s definitely got the teal appeal.

((╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻) #91

It looks mint coloured

(Michael) #92

It was not on my previous non-investor card from July either

I actually like this new design. It’s simplicity is very effective. It also brings it in line and consistent with the cards as the card have never had the :monzo: logo.

Have we ruled out Monzo just trolling Starling?

Or N26 who declared Teal as their new colour!

Have I missed some N26 news? :eyes:

(Malcolm) #98

Why are we using the same colour as others. Surely our colour needs to be distinctive!

(Mark Dunne) #99

I think I actually prefer the dark blue card :flushed:

It’s not particularly new, or newsworthy!

But they felt the need to tweet it the other day…

Poor the 'ling. They can’t seem to get a break. :frowning:

Using one identity so far from the original brand in tone for disparate products like personal/business would IMO be a mistake. I think they should have different but linked branding for each (including card colour).

One way to get there would be to have one white logo on different colours. Controversial, but I’d like to see hot coral for personal cards, dark blue for business, and another hot colour for joint accounts (many customers asked when they were introduced.

Choosing dark blue as the main colour communicates (to me at least), we don’t take risks, we’re solid, old fashioned and boring. For the app icon and main social media I’d personally use hot coral as it is so widely recognised now and synonymous with Monzo, plus it tells you this is no ordinary bank.

They could have a logo of a Unicorn for all I care. As long as they carry on developing the great features in the app, that helps me with my money.
