I think their priority is to get the current bugs fixed first and get it to a stage so that they can re-enable it on IOS again
Here is my feedback
- If the connection flow works, or not - Yes, more streamlined and efficient than Emma.
- If your balance and available credit are correct, or not - Mine are correct.
- Whether or not it helps to see your balance listed within Monzo. - Much quicker and more beneficial as a holistic view to my finances.
- What problems you think this could solve for you, with a little more work. - Upon registering this card it became apparent that it can be viewed on my Joint account! Meaning my balances are shared for all to see. This is frustrating and have now disabled the Monzo Lab functionality as a result. Unsure if this is GDPR compliant?
Thanks for this - Any connected cards are only visible to you, not your partner.
It also sounds like you’re using an older version of the app - we made a change so connected cards are only shown on personal accounts.
We’re testing Lloyds internally - but our main focus is getting the basics working well before we enable more providers publicly.
Over the last week or so, refresh times are looking a bit hit and miss. The longest I can remember is 17 hours but it generally seems to miss at least one in any 24h period.
Here to help! So to clarify… if linked on an older version of Monzo, the connected card details are shared to your partner, if used on the new version, it is not shared?
Having checked, I am using the newest version of the Monzo App.
let me know if you need a guinea pig, can’t wait!
keep up the amazing work!
If you look back through this topic, the credit card details have never been shared on joint accounts. I’m sure @anon41842569 will confirm this.
Your joint account partner should never see the external cards you’ve connected, even if you see it when looking at your joint account (which happened in some older versions of the app)
Yup - we’ve been working through some teething issues - things are looking more reliable today, so hopefully you’ll see more consistent updates now.
Looking forward to AMEX coming onboard!
The current (non-Monzo) thinking on that is September when they should have an API.
Unless (hopefully) the TrueLayer integration issues with Amex can be fixed.
Once the API is ready that will be preferable to sharing log in details with a third party, and I’m guessing it’ll be a smoother integration too.
But I hope Amex will be back in testing soon along side Barclaycard
So I lost my Barclaycard displaying for the second time today. Have added it again so hopefully it stays this time. I have a zero balance.
Also for awareness I’m having an issue with my MBNA displaying in the EMMA app and they have advised it is also because the balance comes through as NIL instead of 0 or £0.00
Did they not think to test for account without a balance
It’s in Labs. You are testing it for them.
I keep losing the Barclaycard connection, it was there. Then has vanished. Twice now. Made support aware of a bug.
I haven’t got a Barclaycard but when you hit Cancel on this screen:
You just end up here:
Which I don’t think is intended.
Can you clarify, I’m not sure what you mean by “Barclaycard login details” because, for example my only login credentials which allowed me to see a card balance could be those those that I use to login to my internet banking in which the cards would be displayed.
I Don’t have a Barclaycard credit card but Halifax/B.O.Scotland and Santander are certainly displayed within their internet banking.
I haven’t lost my link to my Barclaycard details in my Personal Account, but noticed (after upgrading to Beta 2.43.0) that the option to link to a Barclaycard account was displaying in the Account tab of our Joint Account. But…
Hi Jami,
Another bit of feedback from the Lab. You mentioned it sounds like I am using an older version of the Monzo App, it appears you’re right. However…
This was up to date and as far as my AppStore indicates, it still is. It seems it has reverted back to an earlier version and gives a holistic view into my accounts instead of the normal ‘swipe sideways’ to view pots etc.
Does that make sense?
