I guess when you think about it all bank accounts act like prepaid cards. If you put money in, they work?!?

This is where a good subeditor comes in. They would’ve taken out the word ‘works’ and replaced it with ‘I use’. Doesn’t at all change the meaning, but improves the accuracy of the- I was going to say improves the accuracy several times over, but given you can’t multiply 0… 
Can anyone screenshot and paste the new news that has been released two hours ago from the times - discussing Monzo investors still not being phased by competition from revolut.

I was actually quite annoyed with myself because this happens every week; I go out, there’s nothing in the house the next day, I pick up a “few bits” from the local shop and end up writing some cobbled–together shit GCSE–standard article.

In the second episode of the new season of Motherland (full season is on iPlayer) one of the mothers has opened a shop. She states it’s cashless and another character says “oh, I left my Monzo card at home”. Made me smile (more than most of the other jokes anyway).

Article in today’s Telegraph: RBS tried to buy Monzo two years ago.
Surprise surprise! There had been speculation in the media around three years ago that Lloyds Banking Group had approached Monzo. At the time, Tom Blomfield had responded to the rumours by joking that Monzo were not seeking to acquire Lloyds Banking Group
Looks like RBS still haven’t come to their senses about Bó bank either. That name is just terrible, we already have a B bank which obviously isn’t great either.
