Boom!! Statements here

Version 1.20.0!

Biggest changes… Statements!
Biggest changes… No side menu/hamburger
Biggest changes… Help at the bottom (like iOS)

Hmm, the export button does nothing at all for me now, not even CSVs
Also, I feel like the golden ticket banner is very distracting.
Hmmm not sure why it’s not there for you this is what I see…

So there’s now no way to get to settings to see spending limits etc?
It’s now very much a clone of the iOS app. Pity as the thing I liked about Monzo in the early days was they’d spent time making an app for each platform rather than taking the lazy way out.
A couple of force closes later I now see the same as you
Account > Gear (in top right)
I’m personally glad to see the Hamburger gone, Help was something at least a few users couldn’t find when it was hidden away
Ugh… that’s a horrible place to put it. I’d never have found it without help.
When this redesign was first mooted a week or so ago I said that much of the clutter in the accounts screen belongs in the hamburger menu, and it’s even more true now… I’m not a fan at all.
It feels really really weird without the Android pull out menus. Not sure I like it.
personally I love the Hamburger menus and think EVERY app should use them
If they didn’t have the bottom row at all then I’d be more sympathetic. I’d probably also like pulse more if everything was moved to the side.
Or for an outsider’s view: Zeebox A/B testing
Plus, I’d say it looks weirder due to the minutely noticeable blank space between the first two rows where pulse is going to appear. But if the font was smaller on the balance/spent, I’d have pulse turned on at this point.
I totally agree. I think it’s an awful redesign. Sadly it looks like this is the direction it’s going with iOS & Android appearing to aim for the same UI experience.
On the upside, Pulse seems to be working well. But I don’t like Pulse as it takes up too much space.
Pulse? Do you have the developer options enabled or are they rolling that out gradually?
No pulse graph on mine.
Yes I had it enabled via developer options.
Sorry for any confusion.
Agreed, works well but (at the moment) takes up too much space. I’d like to see it implemented as a collapsiing toolbar - then it would be spot on. I do acknowledge that it’s officially an unreleased feature, even in beta, so will wait and see.
Some major features are here in Android Beta 1.21
Other than pulse becoming officially available…
Are two visible changes
I didn’t think it could get any worse after the removal of the side/navigation drawer. I was wrong.
They did, I’m now fine with pulse; plus it makes scrolling back a month neater.
Though the estimate is pessimistic (I don’t over spend but the line drops to 0 in 2 weeks), and I wonder how it looks on smaller screens…
Pulse is broken for me as I can’t scroll into the first day of any month
The whole iOS feel of these new updates will take time to get use to for me.
