Monzo COps - Join Us!

Aww. Today was “work from home Friday”, so Bingo didn’t get to come into the office. So I didn’t meet him today… But, I’m feeling quite positive about both my COps and TechOps applications after today, so… Fingers crossed for meeting him soon. :3

I’m so happy, I’ve just been offered a remote COps role after my interview last week :tada::tada::tada:

A shame, I heard back from the Hiring team today that I was unsuccessful at interview for the Remote COps role this time around. Some good feedback. Now… Just waiting to hear back from my TechOps video interview. Hopefully I’ll be better at the IT-side of Monzo!

Not a COp but as a customer, I’d blow a fuse if I thought you were calling up my banking data from a cafe!

Security requires you to be at home I believe.

Would a public house be OK do you think?

I’d think as long as you’re not doing work in a common area then that’ll be fine

I presume as long as it’s quiet and private then it’s fine (although you might need to bring your screen along as well as your laptop)

I wouldn’t want to even think that it’s somewhere remotely public, from the information we saw at the investment event about what the they can see on screen in regards to account information etc, unless it’s at home then there’s risks of people peering over when working, public WiFi is unreliable and just the fact that if one slip up happens, that’s someone’s details just there. For people to see :eyes:

HI forum,
I’ve got a few questions:

  1. What shift time would you expect? i.e. would it be 8 hours?
  2. is this a suitable job for students?

Shifts times depends on what you’re signing up for (weekend, weekend evenings etc) but from what I saw in previous numbers in regards to numbers, 7-8 hours I think (someone here I assume could confirm that). So if you think you’ll be good to join monzo and can give good service then should be fine for a student l (just remember to balance it with other commitments obviously )

The last remote job ad I looked at had shift patterns so you have to be available from 6am to 11pm (or possibly midnight)

9 hours with an hour’s lunch break.

We’ve got a few students who work part time for Monzo

Hey @anon51629352

@anon77734705 has covered the shift pattern above in her message above.

I’ve been working at Monzo part-time over the weekends while in my final year of university, over the last year! I can confirm that it’s been an amazing experience throughout the year and I’ve really enjoyed it.

Have you found it hard to find the balance between the 2?

Not at all! It’s been the best in terms of the balance between the two, out of the jobs I had throughout my time at uni. I also just happened to manage to plan everything else around my working days as I only when into uni three days a week (So that helped, but this was due to how my timetable was set).

Hey Guys, how long does it take to hear back after you sent the take home task ?

Usually up to 1 week I think.

Took a exactly a week for me

I also seem to be at the moment, just trying to find out as much as I can about Monzo in general, just so I can figure out whether to go #FullMonzo or not
