Carl says it performs better in the west vs east England, but I think generally speaking it’s the worst of the 4(3) networks.
(Obviously location dependent it might be the best for you in your specific location)

Its really good up here in Yorkshire, and where I live and work EE is the worst by a long way…

O2 4G is terrible around where I am.
I’ve had no issues with 3, and even better signal with Voda (albeit only in the one stretch of road outside my Asda).
My friends say they have good signal on EE.

I am in Kent, good for me. Even network coverage checkers always show it comes out better in the areas I get to.
Three is terrible, Vodafone is mostly 4G few scattered 5G. EE looks similar to O2

Has anyone tried the Honest Mobile Smart Sim? Looks really great VfM and uses all the networks.

This is what I have as got broadband. Difficult to move with it also having Netflix premium so technically makes the sim plan £13 a month.

Yes. In saying that I purchased the Smart SIM so YMMV but on the whole it’s a load of 
. I feel they should have paid me to use it.
I think anything that requires automatic switching where there really isn’t any automatic switching available is just daft.
But actually, the specification needs revising IMO. I think iOS/Android should be looking at more than just negative signal. It should be looking for barely any throughput and maybe trying to use the other connection in the background sometimes to see if it’s something that is working better.
Instead it waits until there’s zero signal at all.

We had it for a year and only needed to use it on a couple of trips where we didn’t have free roaming (my wife for 2 weeks in the States and me for two layovers in Istanbul early in July). Both occasions the SmartSIM didn’t work at all - no data, no WhatsApp/Google Maps/email/banking, etc. That seemed to eb the whole point of the SmartSIM, so when it came up for renewal this month I didn’t bother. We’ll just pay the £7.50/day for my wife to have normal service in the States, and when I travel outside Europe I’ll just go back to buying a cheap local SIM for the duration.
That being said, in our experience it worked okay in the UK… There were plenty of times our normal sim dropped out and our phones automatically switched to the SmartSIM. And I tested it manually several times too (shut off the main SIM and tested apps on the SmartSIM only). But we didn’t buy it for slightly better coverage in the UK, we bought it for global roaming, and for that it was useless.

Just don’t do speed tests

Does seem to be the direction most are heading down. I would rather they steal what Poland has with being able to pay for public transport and car parking within the app though. Blik also seems very well integrated there
