Merry Christmas from Barnsley. We have the day with my parents who divorced in 1985. Mum’s blood pressure is 200+ at the moment. Dad is constantly saying he wants to kill himself. We’ll celebrate as best we can. We’re heading away on our own for new year. Hope everyone has the day they hope for

Is the vibe that the Christmas tree comes down this weekend or next weekend?
We have a real one and we need to take it to the recycling centre, so doing it midweek is off the cards.
It still looks incredibly healthy given it’s been here more than a month and has hardly dropped anything, so I’m swaying towards the extra week.
The 12th day of Christmas is Monday, so traditionally, the tree should be down by then. But if it still looks good, leave it up!
We’re taking all our trees/decorations down later today.
