Christmas 2025 🎄

Maybe a bit early but a bored weekend in November means it’s time to put the first tree up.

Jax playing guardian of the festivities.

Can’t wait to hear baubles being thrown about the living room 4am every night :tada:

Mr Monzo in their rightful place

Was in a pub last night and the barman put Last Christmas on, and looked very pleased with himself.

Correction: conservatives black hole that labour has to fix :grimacing:

Anyway, it’s not a political debate.

It’s Christmas.

Under my new tax plan, that’s a grand that pub would owe, I’ll soon sort out the ‘fiscal blackhole’ as for Tesco my plan would wipe out all their profits

Oh, I did see the meme, not sure why it’s been flagged though :worried:

We’ve always put ours up on December 1st, but 3 weeks doesn’t seem long enough to enjoy all the decorations.

Might go crazy, and put them up a week earlier this year :grimacing:

As it’s the first year of my ‘festive tax’ we will let this one go, but next year there would be a fine.

Also if my plans go ahead there will be an easter tax to prevent shops putting out Easter Eggs on Boxing Day

I believe this to be an actual crime.

Jax actually isn’t too bad with it, I just tell him to leave it and he trots off like nothing ever happened.

He’s always been fairly good when I just tell him to stop something, learns pretty quick.

That’s good! I’ve never had a cat but hear they like to play in the tree, and with everything on the tree

Some do but ours just sniffed it once last year then left it alone.

Some cats are all over it, others just happy to see it sparkle :joy:

My wife has suggested going to get our Christmas tree on Sunday. I’m vetoing the idea, even though I’ll be away for work for the week and won’t be here to see it.

Bah, humbug.

HODL’ing here (Holding Off for Dear Life), although it was strongly presented to me by the girls in the family that this Sunday is the only day available where we’re all together prior to Xmas, to put the tree up. So it looks like my worst nightmare will come true - Xmas tree up, lit & decorated before December has even started.
:christmas_tree:
Sad times
