Definitely not suggesting it should be available in the API! Rather, a built-in system option. Even if buried under developer tools.
That’s a really good idea!
They won’t give API access to the charger algorithm as it’d be too easy to turn the phone into an incendiary device - the energy density of Li ion is about half that of dynamite!

To be honest the hardware in the battery itself (there’s a protection circuit) should prevent any destructive outcomes even if the phone wanted it.
