Lloyds Banking Group Chat 🐎

I’m right assuming that isn’t meant to say debit card up there? I’d rather not get 12 hour late notifications on bills that debit at 4am, or for people I send money to as I’ve just actually sent it with my own eyes :eyes:

It can be fixed but involves phoning, sitting on hold and getting through to someone who knows what they are doing. Personally that’s enough to put me off.

Have you done that? Or just read it here?

Sounds like all instances I’ve read they fix it in one go.

I’ve had to do it twice in the past few months. After that I gave up on Lloyds.

no recent complaints, coukd be fixed

It’s happened to me with every Lloyds product I’ve had, as recently as May this year.

Shock horror! Lloyds card won’t add to Apple Pay… guess I’ll need to ring :joy: fingers crossed there is a fix for me and they don’t just try and whitelist me

I think I played dumb and said something like ‘my phone says I have to contact card issuer, is there anything you can do at your end?’

Incidentally I ran across a similar issue with Santander yesterday (presumably I have added and removed to this phone too many times) but they solve it with a text message, following which it works immediately:

Just done the PayPoint cash deposit at Asda, it’s a very nice process. And instantly appeared in my Lloyds current account. I hope more banks start to offer this, as PayPoints are far more common than post office (and they’re open weekends). I would’ve used Nationwide but they’re only offering their cash deposits at ~3k locations (with my Asda not being one of them), as opposed to LBG’s >30k locations.

Why do you even know this stuff :grimacing::joy:

By spending a lot of time reading bank websites. It’s probably an autistic trait.

Ah, so it appears the 3k locations limitation is if you’re using a debit card. Whereas because Lloyds also offers the barcode option, that’s when you get the >28k locations!

The Lloyds deposit thing is very handy, used it a few times at different places, Asda being one of them.

As for autism. I am defo on some spectrum and adhd, just need to get diagnosed and I can do absolutely nothing with that status :joy:

Bit TMI, but thanks to this obsession, especially time spent on this forum, I’ve just managed to finance a relocation while my post-divorce financial remedy is still ongoing. :money_with_wings::smiling_face_with_tear:

May none of you ever need to use this sort of knowledge. :joy:

@Kissington bringing the conversation over here so we’re on topic, here’s what I saw in my app before I closed my Halifax accounts. Even when you transfer then to Lloyds, they thankfully do make it clear what’s what.

(Screenshot from back when I kept £5 in all my spare accounts, it’s not a recent screenshot).

Literally brought over.

Both Halifax Online and app are to be moved to their Lloyds counterparts by October. I’ve just done it this last weekend, and once it’s done the Halifax equivalents are inaccessible. But the accounts are still referenced as Halifax within the Lloyds app and the sort codes and account numbers remain the same. Sorts still 11- not 30-. Not confusing at all.

I’ve had a must migrate my Halifax accounts by the 5th October letter. A few days back I opened the Halifax 8% regular saver.

Today I installed and opened the Lloyds Banking app and it detected I had the Halifax app and got me to migrate my accounts by linking through to my Halifax app.

I’ve been able to open the Lloyds Monthly Saver at 8% so have 2 regular saving accounts with them at 8%, one for each brand. Not sure if that’s truly allowed. I guess it’s time for some stoozing for the next year to make the most of it.

First time checking out a Vintage Inn yesterday with Lloyds 10% cashback.

Pub meals have become extortionate these days. :scream: Slow cooked beef shin, slow cooked pulled pork plus 2 flavoured soda would have been £56.30 without the discount and cashback I could get.
