They said they needed my drivers licence and also a bank statement for proof of address. Since this I have no confidence so as Deborah Meaden would say “it’s a no from me, and I’m out”

I get the impression it’s either automated or two people are on the job?
In my opinion it’s worth the wait, I can’t fault the app or the customer service.
The app updated yesterday, slightly new layout plus they’ve lowered the minimum threshold for opening a fixed term savings account from £10,000 to £1000.
What rates are they offering?

Looks like Vrgin have upped their game. I’ve had to call them several times over the last few months and they’ve been excellent.
Is that on the savings Newcastle side or the current account Glasgow side?

I have a call I need to make about an old ISA but I think that’s the northern rock style savings department. Shall report back.
It came out the blue. So far I have made several large transfers into the account. Last night I wanted to make my first withdrawal, well technically my second as I did a small test withdrawal when I first opened the account. When I tried to open the app that error message appeared. I emailed them straightaway but no reply or phone call yet.
Sure your funds will be safe but yeah appears its definitely in a bit of beta mode

Just had a very good phone call with their savings team. Attained access to a 5 year old savings profile.
Certainly seems a reliable place to park your money.

No sorry. I digressed into virgeen money as someone brought their customer service up as a comparable. Sorry.
Send a second email to LHV? I think the service is very new and despite the fact they will be beholden to the same rules as anywhere else, the processing may be somewhat more rudimentary?
