Just Got My Monzo Card

Hello!

Finally just got my Monzo card, dispite me saying finally I actually own waited a few days, aha! But anyway ill update this slowly as I find things that maybe could be improved on.

18/01/2017:

1. The ugly orange card, honestly was expecting a super sexy card. I do understand though it’s the BETA card so not a huge issue aha.

2. I feel like maybe the application needs a dark theme, something about that dark waiting screen and then a white interface just didn’t seem right to me, you know?

3. Since I have put in my card details i’m now getting errors reading the live chat conversations? Might just be a temp issue, but seemed to happen soon as I input my card number.

As I said ill be adding more to this thread as I use the card and get to use the app more, talk soon!

Unfortunalty I don’t think the colour of the card is going to change from what we have now, it’s a bit of a hot topic currently. (Pun intended )

Don't go, coral card!

I came across a post from the Mondo blog from October last year that had a .gif of a card design on it: [image] This just confused me. I mean yeah, I love the coral coloured card I have now! But for some reason, I really like that alternative design. What do we think? I guess I just think that design fits in with the general Mondo brand identity better than the coral one. As for the dark theme i don’t think this is a major priority for the app at the moment, but you never know maybe it’ll happen in a future update.

Yeah, there seems to be no intention at the moment to use developer time on themes

In regard to themes, we don’t have any plans to introduce them to Monzo yet. As Naji says, our primary focus now with the visual design of Monzo’s apps is that understanding your money at a glance is as simple as possible. Maybe it’s something we’ll consider, but realistically I doubt it’ll be sometime soon.

We’re experiencing a few issues with the help chats at the moment, but we’re working on it . I’ll be sure to let you know when everything’s back up and running
