I received that email too. I can no longer be a pioneer
But after waiting for over a year so far, I’m in this line for the long haul.

I got that too - I honestly forgot I was on the waiting list.
I got this email but they rejected me when I applied, so I’m not sure why I’m on a waiting list still
I applied today and got accepted, lowish limit though.
Does it do anything new?
Have you read this thread? The Jaja website?
I’ve only just joined so I’m not sure, all the features advertised on the website like sharing credit or money transfers don’t seem to be available to me personally.
I don’t really see what all the fuss is about, seems very similar to my Amex card only differences are instant card number, very smooth onboarding and no foreign transaction fees.
Fairly standard, I don’t see anything revolutionary about the product.
Was that aimed at me? If so, yes, and I couldnt see why it would cause such interest, apart from possibly a nicer app than most credit cards. Was wondering if it got any clearer once you got the card (or if it had developed at all since I last looked).
It’s really not worth a fraction of the fuss so far.
I mean, it works as a credit card, and that’s about it.
Except that the credit limits are rubbish
It hasn’t done anything original at all yet. It could pretty much be a Lloyds /Halifax/insert high street bank name card at the moment.
I wouldn’t describe it as standard.
The following Jaja features aren’t standard features for credit cards:
Re Amex - With the exception of instant notifications, Amex doesn’t have any of the above.
Unless you combine it with an aggregator…
Providers really need to focus on features directly related to their core product, because the analytics are out of their hands anyway. All I want from Jaja is an API, not yet another transaction analytics engine.
I want an API too (I‘m not using it routinely specifically because it isn’t supported by aggregators).
But I would guess there are many who aren’t willing to use or don’t trust aggregators / sharing of financial data to a third party. Many, many more than who do trust aggregators.
Same boat!
Regarding the API, the mobile app’s API is very easy to reverse-engineer in their case.
Jaja’s deal with the Bank of Ireland appears to be on track for September.

Most interesting for me - as an personal customer - is that Jaja will be supporting cashback cards as part of their range.
Just had email from Allied Irish Bank saying my Post Office credit card has been sold to JaJa.
Reading further down, I see that there is NO PURCHASE PROTECTION with this card, so why would I bother. I shall close my account before the sales date.
There is discussion about this in the below topic that may help:
That’s a decision for you. The rest of us as a random bunch from the internet don’t know enough about you to offer a sensible opinion.
Can you please post the relevant wording, for general interest?
