It's time for a money checkup 🩺 June 2023 updates

Hey everyone,

June is the perfect time for a mid-year financial check-in. Whether you’re saving for that dream vacation or planning a major purchase, it’s important to pause and identify any adjustments you need to reach your goals.

And with all your help and feedback so far, here are this month’s new features:

Improved subscription management :tv:

Our subscription detection service includes even more US-based subscription providers!

From things like streaming services to meal kits, Playstation Plus to BarkBox – you should now see these appear as subscriptions in your scheduled payments. You can also mark ACH payments as recurring subscriptions. :money_with_wings:

All recurring subscriptions can be managed at any time by tapping Payments in the bottom navigation bar, then tap the Scheduled tab.

Better merchant info for cleaner transaction feeds :shopping:

More merchant logos and cleaner descriptions for in-person store transactions are now in your feed. The sender or recipient name for external peer-to-peer transfers like Zelle, CashApp, and Venmo should also appear.

And here’s how you can help make it even better: tap on any merchant transaction to see the details, then tap “Improve name or logo” at the bottom. In-person card transactions will say “Improve name, location or logo.”

More app polish :bathtub:

We continue to polish up our app screens as part of our ongoing efforts for simple yet purposeful design. You may have noticed a different flow for creating Pots, for example.

It’s definitely not us getting ready for something big with Pots soon. :eyes:

Help test spending from Pots :honey_pot:

Another one of our most requested features is currently in progress! And we need your help to test it. :test_tube:

Pots help make sure you have enough money for the things that matter. Once you assign specific categories or merchants to a Pot, whatever you spend in those categories or merchants will come from that Pot.

Follow our community forum topic for testing updates.

Help resources in a few taps :speech_balloon:

Our new help center is the go-to resource for all things Monzo, from how Pots work to setting up a joint account. Our goal is to make sure the help center has the answers you need.

You can access the help center on the web or in the app by tapping ‘Help’ in the bottom navigation bar. Of course, we’ll still be available through in-app chat if you have questions.

More credit cards supported with Credit Card Pots :credit_card:

Since launching Credit Card Pots last month, we’ve added support for more credit cards, including X1, SoFi, Venmo, and PayPal, thanks to your feedback!

Here’s the full list of supported credit cards.
