I ordered a replacement card for one I lost on the 27th of last month. It still hasn’t arrived - I really need to be able to get money out or use the account but obviously there’s not much I can do. I’m getting to the point now where I’m close to doing a runner or shoplifting. Obviously because it’s Monzo I can’t go to the branch and try to withdraw it either, this is far too long to go without access to the money in my bank. Just wondering if anyone knows something I don’t or a way to use the account without a card? Might be a ridiculous question but worth a shot because I can’t cope anymore, it has been a long time waiting for a replacement that never arrived with no money and no way to buy food etc
Use the help section in the app to talk to Monzo.
The card should arrive fairly quick, and you should still be able to send funds to another bank account.
Unless this is your first application of a Monzo account and you cannot get past the activate card screen?
If that’s the case, email help@monzo.com to query card delivery.
Yeah I ordered another replacement for the replacement that never arrived but that still means I have nothing for 2-3 more days or however long it takes. Hopefully this time it arrives in the post. If I had someone I knew to send the money to and then take it out using their bank card I would. I think I need to switch banks to one with an actual branch at this point
Do you have another account that you can just transfer the money to? That you hold the card for? I’m going to get the answers no otherwise you wouldn’t be posting here but that would be beneficial to have a second account if you don’t already.
Check your address is correct in the app and then request another replacement.
You can add your card to Apple or Google pay in the meantime to spend, or do a food shop online as the card details should be visible in the app.
Add card to Google wallet, do that from the Monzo app as you wait for the physical card.
I tried that already but it wouldn’t show me the card details on the app. Last time this happened I could still use google pay but this time the Monzo app doesn’t even have the card there it only gives me the choice to activate new card which I do not have. Guess I need to wait it out. Thanks anyway
