For the purposes of accuracy; premises don’t get ‘robbed’, they are burgled.
Robbery involves some kind of force, or threat of the use of force, upon an actual person.
Now where is that Pedants’ Revolt pic?

I have two Nest cams which are mainly used to monitor my kids while they’re asleep but sometimes serve double duty around the house when we’re out or on holiday.
I’d recommend them to anyone. Video quality is great. They have two way talk. The app is constantly updated. I’m personally happy to trust Google to take security seriously. The networking is rock solid and I can easily view from any phone or tablet.
The recording service is very pricey but I haven’t ever felt like I’ve needed it as the push notifications do the job for me and you can scroll through the timeline and see screen captures of recent activity.
They’re not cheap and I’d probably be tempted by the Amazon cams if they ever made it to the UK but you get what you pay for.
It’s only robbery if the threat of force, or use of force, is prior to or at the time of the theft.
If someone steals from you but uses, or threatens use of, force afterwards then it’s not a robbery. It’s a theft and assault.
