Long pressing on an Apple app in the App Library adds it to your Home Screen instantly.
Menu bar in messages app extends over your pinned chats and blocks the top half of them.
Nothing game breaking but they weren’t there in DB4.
I do like the new Siri icon. The old one was awful.
It is a nice release.
I don’t use the App Library or Messages so would never have picked up on those.
Hoping there’s another public beta soon. I’ll give it a couple of days before my impatience kicks in and I switch the phone and mac over to the dev betas.
Should be today or tomorrow at the latest I would expect.
ChatGPT subscription ran out. Tried using free for a bit but it’s very limited these days. Gunna give new Siri a go as my AI app.
I’ve been using GPT Go and I like it, can’t imagine Siri being as great.
Would you recommend ChatGPT Go? Price is quite tempting.
On my iPad, where I’ve installed the public beta, I’ve been occasionally running comparisons between Gemini, Claude, ChatGPT and Siri 2.0 and generally there’s not much between them now.
Gemini is my default because I get Gemini Pro as part of my EE contract and I’ll probably continue to use that after iOS 27 is released purely because of that. But if EE changed their terms, or if I switched mobile contracts, I think Siri will cover my requirements.
However, I am completely in the Apple ecosystem - iPhone, iPad, Macbook Pro, Apple Watch, TV and Homepods. I’m also not yet sure about how ‘on device’ I actually like Siri being. If I ask a question on my phone, I’d like to then be able to go back and see it and the answer on my Macbook…
Surely if you open Siri on the Mac you can see the previous questions asked? 
You can, any chats you have are saved cross device in the Siri app
It’s the same as free with higher limits. If you like free but keep getting usage limited then sure.
I don’t know if this is something new or it has been there for some time.
Previously if I was on a call on one line, callers on the second number would be told my number is unavailable when they tried to call me.
Few minutes back I was on a call on my Spusu number and got a call waiting on my O2 number with the options to hold or drop it and accept the new one.
Wondering if O2 line switched to using mobile data on the Spusu line for the connection in place of WiFi calling.
I am not on a WiFi network at the moment
A sim with no cover will use another mobile data connection from another sim to utilise WiFi calling. I’m sure it’s only EE networks that do it.
O2 did on the last beta, Vodafone joined the club this time too.
Shouldn’t it really be the other way? Isn’t 5G SA physically (presence wise) rolled out to enough of the big population centres that we can brand everything NSA as 4G+ and only allow 5G SA to be branded as 5G?
If they had gone with that first before they launched fake 5G then we wouldt know any better, but this way people will know they’re on the higher tier for what they pay extra for.
Until it becomes the normal ofc. Surprised Three haven’t launched any SA, they usually give all their customers everything when they launch but there’s no change now Vodafone has 100% ownership.
