iOS 26

They really need to sort this battery shiz out.

16% gone, deleted Grindr, Snapchat, some other apps and it’s still dying like a mf.

Have you done a delete and restart? Mine sorted itself out pretty quickly after this. But then again it’s a 15 pro max so it’s possible whatever the new version of battery management is called is doing its thing.

I had this bug in the first beta. I left phone charging overnight, woke up and found it at 100%.
Unplugged it and then saw it racing to the bottom.
I went on up to 80% in less than 10 minutes of no use.
I restarted and then it went to 90%.

Anyone finding the battery drain bug raising? I’ve started to experience it a bit more over the last few days and it’s a little challenging.

Right now my phones down to 75%, I charged it last to 100% this morning and it came off the charger at 06:30, 88% capacity.

Normally by now I’d expect it to be around 85-90% given I’ve not really used it.

I’ve found that disabling Bluetooth for headphones which I only use for work seems to have helped.

Hopefully they’ll fix that in the next beta.

No battery issues for me; normal amount of slightly higher battery drain.

I have just realised my photos collection just doesn’t work. I haven’t really used it before to see:

Mine works fine 14 Pro

It’s normally fine except I have folders and went to find a picture and couldn’t.

No idea how long this has been broken for me.

This was my experience initially but then it started draining at a much faster rate.

Interestingly today since I made the Bluetooth switch I’ve not experienced anything like the same issue.

I’m at 5% but i have basically been on it all day as work is boring me.

Having deleted a few apps like snapchat and Grindr it seemingly lasted most of the day.

Went Manchester last weekend and stuck it on low power mode.

Left 11am, and it lasted till around 1pm the next day. Was amazed.

I removed X and got a noticeable difference.

Though from the second beta I get over heating while charging and it pauses. Now I charge it while off

And down to 47%, yesterday I was 15% - the only other thing that has changed is I’ve gone back to single sim vs duel sim.

If this bug goes I’ll be quite pleased, really liking the rest of iOS26 for the most part.

Ok, so I’ll be Andrew fishy’s alt. The AirPod bug has resurfaced. The most infuriating bug I’ve ever seen.

There’s no way to get them to connect properly without turning the phone on and off again. Even turning BT off or turning airplane mode on and off doesn’t solve it.

I really hope they fix that bug in a later beta

I am lucky I don’t have this one. My airpods work with no issues

First time I actually had the AirPods issue described above.

Just updated to Beta 3 - hopefully it stops that.

It’s updated my issue with the photos app too.

Ooh yes good spot!

Im too slow to post the update note ha.

I see the cursor bug hasn’t fixed itself which is annoying. I don’t really know how to explain it other than you’ll go to edit something and the cursor will be 2-3 lines down from what you’re typing.

I’m hoping beta 3 fully fixes the, intermittent, AirPods Bug (which was annoying) and further improves battery life.

I found in Beta 2 it improved slightly once I disabled Bluetooth for the headphones that I only ever use at work but auto connected and went back to single sim.

That said it still wasn’t brilliant and I would hope it solves itself before an upcoming trip to Canada at the end of August otherwise I might have to consider going back.

And the weird shading/fading has all gone.

Noticed when notifications come through the edge seems to flash.

Just beware that the Barclays app (so Barclaycard too) no longer work on developer beta 3.
