Might have missed it but was there any answer to what happens if you’re subscribed to old Plus and don’t upgrade? New features sound nice but my current interest in particular covers the entire cost of current Monzo Plus plus a bit extra so effective cost for me seems around £4.40 a month if I could keep that instead. (£5 - £2 interest - (-£1.40) current overall benefit for Monzo Plus)
Reinstall the app.
I like the position of the new plus - I think virtual cards are an instantly big win, especially as we’re now transacting more from a distance. Where I’m based, we’re seeing more and more restaurants start to take deposits for reservations (because a good number of restaurants have seen up to 50% of their bookings no-show without warning). Whilst I know they should be PCI compliant, I can’t help but wonder where my card details are stored - realistically, I now won’t care as I’ll probably keep a floating virtual card for these type of transactions, that I can recycle fairly frequently.
A few small points:

for me, when selecting ‘try out custom categories’, I get the popup explaining what they are and then confirmation button, but it doesn’t take me anywhere. It’d be nice for this to take me to whatever page I need to be on, to configure them

A similar thing happens when selecting “save every time you spend”, it takes me to the pot that receives my roundups but just leaves me on the list of ‘totals’.

I’d absolutely love to have some kind of ‘unified’ transaction view that aggregates all my accounts. I’m not interested in the total ‘wealth’ side of it, but just seeing what transactions have come out, at a glance, would be super useful.

More than 5 virtual cards, and an expanded limit on pots (I’ve had to start doubling up, which has an impact on envelope budgeting).

It’d be nice if we could relabel existing categories, to something that’s more appropriate for our needs (as it’d also help keep the list down to something more manageable).
Overall, good work - I’m pleased! If this is the offering for Plus, I’m expecting some really good things from Premium.

3 Items of Feedback:
- A really great feature request for me would be the ability to skip the helpdesk and speak directly to the Monzo chat without having to go through pages and pages of Help pages. It’s one of the most frustrating things and has completely ruined the experience for me.
- Also… no new app icon?
- Allow us to display our Revolut balances in the app (I know… sorry… I use Monzo primarily though ;))
Also why is there no icon for exercise on custom pots!! I was hoping for a generic exercise icon but there are only different types of balls
You do know you don’t have to be a Monzo customer right?
And for everyone wanting a metal card that THEY think is ‘slick and simple’ there is an opposing adult who thinks a metal card is garish and flashy.
I just went with the stick person but yes, different types of exercise would be good as I do lots of different types and could get pretty granular on it
Also one additional thing I wanted to add that I’m grateful for - is the amount of polish this launch has come with.
My absolutely biggest frustration from Plus previous attempts was just how “MVP” it was - while it seems there are still some bits that will be expanded on, this at least feels ready for the market.
So thanks for not launching something half baked.

But I also think it’s fair for a company to put a price on all the work they’ve done and not offer it for next to nothing. (there is also something about taking more than a few weeks to adapt to change, so I think 3 months is a sensible timeframe).
That’s just me though!
Looks a nice initial launch, will read the comments today and feedback my opinion later but as it stands (for me) it isn’t worth subscribing but nice launch and definitely a good start!

I have tried to scan the 267 comments, honestly, but now at work and struggling to keep up. For those of us who signed up to ‘Legacy’ Plus at £3/m early bird, what happens next if we don’t sign up to ‘New’ Plus. I can see there is the option for 2 months free. If I don’t switch over…
- Will ‘Legacy’ Plus continue to exist in any form, and for how long?
- If yes, will the price be moving to £6?
(2a. If yes, then clearly some benefit to switching )

Happy with the credit score in app as o check credit karma a lot. The current level of info is low compared to credit karma though so i’ll still be using them (and potentially signing up to products through them). Would be good to see the credit Score offering move towards providing as much info as credit karma
Is there still a limit on the amounts of pots you can have? as I’m at the current limit and need more
