Love the insight, really nice to see why the parallax is on iOS and not Android, following on from that:
I second this, even as a iOS user I think building your own version for Android should defo be on the to do list, easily the best feature added in so long.

Thanks for all the great feedback so far. Iâll address a few points in this one post:
Brightness adjustments
Right now this is only supported on Android. When you enter the screen it should boost the brightness, and when you exit it should return brightness to where it was.
@rl92 wâere very sorry if this causes you some discomfort. It was with good intentions to boost the speed and accuracy with which a code is scanned but I think it warrants some rethinking. My initial thought is a manual toggle for both platforms, but I will bring this issue to the team and we will discuss.
Contact hashing
Thanks @j06 and @jzw95 for the link to the old post - this was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one!
I think this system is so great I think it deserves highlighting outside of the company and forum. I am hoping when/if we re-word the contact access dialog in the app that we can allude to this in some way, and perhaps back it up with a blog post some day.

Well Iâm thoroughly confused by this 
Do you see other animations in the app? eg. tapping the âShare my linkâ referral button on the Payments tab should display an envelope animation. Does that play for you?

I have tried to set up a shared tab with my husband but no joy. He wonât share his contacts with Monzo (his own privacy decision) but I thought that wasnât necessary anymore. I tried to use the ânearbyâ function but it didnât go through. Ah well 
Do you have dark mode enabled all the time? Itâs MUCH more subtle in dark mode.
We started rolling this out on Friday so if youâre both on the latest versions and can see Profile Privacy in Profile > Settings > Privacy & security then you should be able to opt in/out as appropriate.
In this case your husband would need to be discoverable using just the âQR code or payment linkâ (assuming you have made payments to him before).

Profile Privacy updated for me - it puts a new âProfile privacyâ tap-box in the Privacy & Security settings:
Tapping the above displays the new Profile privacy settings, which let you opt-in/out of QR and/or Phone number sharing:

I wish the link preview in chat apps would render the qr code.
At the moment it just renders the Monzo logo.
Although maybe thatâs self referencing a bit?
Iâm not particularly photosensitive, but I also find the automatic brightness increase very jarring and creates a less than pleasant experience if I want to request via a shared link. However, I find the increase in brightness useful when I actually want to pay via QR code because the QR code scans easier.
I think the best option would be to have separate âBy linkâ and âBy QR codeâ in the Request section. The âBy linkâ option could go to a version of the screen thatâs used when bill splitting with non-Monzo userâs.
P.S. pls also add a âBy sharing bank detailsâ option to the Requests section!

Probably, but you canât get a business account if youâre a partnership.
Itâs not a feature on mine and I have it on my personal account

Nor mine. It would be a good addition for business accounts I think. Iâd have little use for it because of the nature of the business I do, but I can see it being useful for some.
Ideally joint accounts too.
