Introducing Monzo Flex – a better way to pay later 🚀

I’d like that.

Throw in combining your overdraft and your Flex limit with a shared APR that is used for both of them if you don’t choose a payment plan for Flex and I’d be v happy.

I like the fixed installments. It keeps accountable.

Spread a few hundred quid over 3 months and done. If I’m going to buy something bigger, lets say a kitchen or a car, then I’ll get a new credit card with a longer interest free period.

I was thinking the same.

Living the dream with this Flex payment.

Won’t this have a seriously negative effect on folks credit scores over the long term?

I can see the point of flex for like a large purchase (depending on what you think a large purchase is) but I actually thought the £30 limit was just fine.

Was there a reason it was dropped?

*apart from folk telling you they wanted you too.

Keep up the great innovation:-)

No different to just utilising any credit line you have already. Keep up the payments, don’t max out everything you’ve got across all credit lines. No issues one bit.

This is a great addition to flex. Good work :mondo:

Just thinking as well, with flex now allowed on smaller amounts, it lets you pretty much flex an entire holiday spending money. Seems handy with a virtual card on Google Pay

I am due to pick some train tickets up later today/tomorrow, but it needs the physical flex card apparently to be entered into the machine - anyone had this before and got a workaround or does my actual monzo card and the reference work?

Note to self for future - pay on original card and then flex!

You can put any card in from memory, when work got me tickets in the past, I’d just put my own card in and then enter the reference number.

You need to ask the company you purchased from to change the collection to “any card” pick up. Shouldn’t be an issue.

i have also picked up train tickets using a different card to the one i paid with as long as you have your reference number it wil be fine

Spoiler alert: Did not work

Had to go to the ticket office, and they printed. Luckily gave myself time as I’ve got 3 more of these to do. Worth noting for any fellow flexers.

Just get ‘pay flex from a pot’ up and running and FLEX will be perfect!

Momentarily… until someone thinks of something else it could/should do

hmmmm that is weird as i have ordered train tickets through work and paid for them then used my own card to pick them up

Did you try to tap Flex on Google/Apple pay to collect?

It needs you to enter a card into the reader (my guess is it reads the chip) contactless doesn’t work.

Did you insert a random card of just obey the sign :eyes:

I inserted my Monzo card and typed the reference in.

that really is weird as the first time i went to pick up tickets that work paid for i had the same thing and the woman at the kiosk said it didnt mater what card you used it was more to prove that the tickets had been picked up , on other occasions ive ordered with one card and sent some one else to pick them up and they have used their card and had no problems
