Brilliant stuff thanks Theo!
I’m not sure its a problem more of a sign of Monzo moving away from a small fintech bank with the agility to roll out features fast to ~1 million customers to one which is growing faster than it’s engineering squads can manage so they move to a gradual rollout approach a.l.a legacy banks.
I can understand actually why Monzo might be doing that
Monzo Flex is now listed on my TransUnion credit record with the current outstanding balance. It has an account type of Budget Account as opposed to Credit Card.
No sign on the others just yet.
Same for me.
I know it doesn’t matter, but by score also went down by 8 points, so assume it’s because of Flex being listed, as nothing else has changed.
Obviously! Others had asked way back in this thread what it would be classed as, hence me providing the info.
Exactly the same for me!
It’s there on Credit Karma too, under “Other Accounts”
Yes, that’s what I’m using.
Mines not showing in there just yet.
Mine’s showing correctly within my ‘Closed Accounts’ section on Credit Karma, and probably unrelated, but my score has gone up by 8, but that might just be because I sneezed or something.
Mine went up by 8.25* points after Flex got added
*A made up number to go with the irrelevant made up numbers provided by CRA, to condition people into thinking it’s something that should track on a regular basis. Rah my score is 969 and you’re turning me down for credit, I want to speak to the manager
A few minutes after I sent that reply, I got this email… Yet my account shows +8.
If you’re going to pluck a number out of thin air, at least make it make sense
I had the exact same email from them this morning and same as you my score had actually gone up!
They are clickbaiting us now
Mine shows +12 but I think it already did because I put on my special Percy Pig socks today.
I only actually have Credit Karma installed because I’m interested in what’s on my TransUnion record. The “score” just provides added amusement.
Or it could be that CRAs just fluctuate the score randomly to keep you logging back in and seeing their credit cross–selling?
If you want, I could email you a random number between 1 and 999 every month. That would have about as much bearing on your ability to take out a financial product as the number shown to you in those apps.
I’d like that.
Will you tell me how to make you give me a bigger number the next month if I don’t like it?
I’d like that too I think.
Can I also add you as a user on my Monzo Google Sheets live export so that you can see everything I spend money on and in return make that number a little bigger?
I preempted someone losing their shit.
