Introducing Monzo Flex – a better way to pay later 🚀 [NEW: Flex on Apple Pay!]

I mean if you’ve already had your interest free period…so the next payment is interest bearing

What I mean it like I said above. You might have 3 months interest free purchase and be at the end of a 6 month interest bearing purchase at the same time.

Month 1: interest bearing

Month 2: interest bearing AND interest free

Month 3: interest bearing AND interest free

Month 4: interest free

In Month 2 if I can pay extra on the interest bearing purchase only then I save interest. If I can only pay extra off the end of Month 4 I don’t.

(Unless the extra will take from interest bearing only in which case fine, that’s good. That doesn’t explain why the feature was removed!)

I’m not really sure how else to describe what scenario I’m trying to say. I’m right off a night shift so I am very tired

Whatever it is, it seems linked to that transaction and perhaps your specific scenario rather than being a feature that’s removed entirely.

OH FFS I’M SO DUMB YOU CAN STILL DO THIS.

Ignore me everyone. I need to go to sleep.

Elite Selling Krew!

I fully understand what your talking about cause I could do exactly the same of what you’ve fully described!!!

Is it because of the £100 rule….. where you can only flex payments more than £100 now? :sob:

FYI Today I asked Monzo via chat when the <£100 rule was coming in for me and they seem totally unaware of it and have told me nothing is changing!!!

Isn’t it only £100+ to flex in 3 interest free?

Can’t recall fully about £100 min spend.

Yep, it’s this :backhand_index_pointing_up:

I can still open a specific transaction, with e.g. 1 instalement left. Click pay extra at the bottom, then amend how much goes to that specific transaction.

Do you know where this is actually mentioned in your flex account? I cannot find any mention in my flex account of the £100+ requirement for 3 months interest free.

Depends how long you’ve had flex, if since launch it’s not yet applied I don’t think.

Newer applications have it in their terms I believe. It’s on the Monzo flex website.

Ah ok yeah I’ve had it since the beginning (i think) so maybe it doesn’t apply to me yet.

I’ve had Flex since its launch (more or less, I believe), and I can still flex purchases less than £100.

If you look in Your Flex Offer in the app it tells you whether you are eligible for 0% over 3 months.

I’ve had flex since the beginning. And I got an email on the 11th Feb telling me that my flex had been updated to remove purchases below £100 from the 3 month 0% offer (as communicated in December)

So check your app, and your emails. They’ll tell you when they remove it if they haven’t already

Short answer is definitely yes.

I can’t give a timeline on when though I’m afraid

It’s being rolled out. You’ll get given 2 months notice when it gets to you
