Amazing. Me too.
Welcome, by the way!
Thank you!
Iām Michal, 32yo, film director.
I like books, boxing and roleplaying a character who generally doesnāt reveal too much about himself on the internet, pretending to enjoy things like books and boxing to throw the internet off the scent. Or do I.
Welcome @anon2184256
Thanks Andy, glad to be here.
Thanks for the warm welcome Richard. Delighted to be part of the Monzo family.
Card has arrived - bright arenāt they - and all set up. Took me a while to realise that dynamic text sizing was a tad high, but all OK now. Here we go! R-
Welcome to all the newbies
Too many of you to welcome individually but looking forward to getting to know more of you
Hello people!
My name is Eole and Iām new on Monzo. I am a writer and, since I can earn money from anywhere in the world, I thought Monzo was a good free option! Letās see!
So, I am a writer specialised in Bookwriting and songwriting for Musical Theatre. So, obviously, I love Musical Theatre, Theatre and music. I also enjoy reading, watching films and series, horseback riding and going out with friends.
Hey
Itās good to have you around
Does your career mean you do you do a bit of traveling too?
Iām French and studying in London.
I havenāt traveled much yet because Iām studying and studies cost time and money but yes I plan to travel
Hey yāall, Iām Trevor and over the moon to finally being here with you lovely lot
Hi, Iām David, just received my Monzo card. I love the idea of a 21st Century mobile app based bank developed and run by the brightest talent the UK and world has to offer. Iām the Operations Manager of a B2B IT Support company, I love everything tech, in my spare time I like researching and setting up Smart Home technology and drinking Gin
Hi
I am Carol, Iāve just started using Monzo, I got it to use abroad, recommended by my daughter. Is it easy to use in Greece does anyone know please. Do I have to transfer money into it before I go and also can I top it up if I need to⦠thank you so so much x
Hi Carol, welcome!
So the best way to think of Monzo is that itās a (super modern) bank account that lives on your phone as opposed to a travel card. That said, itās one of the best current accounts to use overseas!
This means that you can treat Monzo like any other current account. Transfer money in and out using faster payments (bank transfers) - as long as itās to/from another UK account it really doesnāt matter where you are in the world.
So, yes, you can add money before you go, but also while youāre away if you can access your usual bankās internet banking or app.
If it works for you while youāre away, think about using it when youāre back in the country. The budgeting features are like nothing youāve ever seen. Promise!
Thatās brill thank you for your reply. Iāll try it on holiday then hopefully give it a go at home. Thanks again Take care x
Great! Let us know how you get on.
(Oh, you might want to change your profile settings - your email address is on display at the moment )
Also we have this thread, which should help answer your Greece questions!
Not a welcome but Iām back ha ha! August has been busier than ever for me but time to get back to normality so looking forward to catching up on everything. Looks like so many new faces and so much going on.
