Is it expected that there will be functionality for making international payments in the not-too-distant future?

I’ve moved to Monzo Ireland in full from AIB, however, I was required to make a payment to a UK bank account in GBP. I was unable to do this from within the Monzo Ireland app, and had to transfer money to Revolut in order to make the payment?

I presume this basic functionality is something that will come into play soon? I think it’s an important, basic feature in general. Particularly, however, in Ireland where a portion of the Island of Ireland uses GBP, this could cause inconvenience for some.

Monzo uk didn’t have it for years, can’t imagine it’s overnight for Ireland.

I am in the same boat. I have recently moved a UK company to Ireland. Opened a Monzo account on the assumption it’s a modern banking solution.

Upon attempting to pay a UK bill, turns out they don’t support it. I had to use my UK HSBC account instead which I’m trying to wind down.

Cian at support said they’re always adding new features, seems that this is a big one they should be concentrating on…

@Carlo1460 that doesn’t sound too promising. Hopefully they can get this built in soon.
