Is this company allowed to use your card in their advert? Made me think you were somehow connected. Awful targeted advertising as I don’t have any need for a card machine 
It’s been reported already on an earlier thread a few weeks ago - looks like they’re back in action…

Has anyone seen any adverts where monzo has been featured? I came across one today on instagram

Pretty sure we didn’t give permission for this - I’ve seen it a few times myself and agree that it’s not a good look. I’ll look into it and see what we can do!

Yeah It really doesn’t look good at all, I’m not even in the market for a card reader so target audience is abit all over the place…

What’s that ad about? I’m curious. Tried looking up their username on Instagram but they have zero posts on their account, quite weird for a legitimate business trying to sell their stuff. Feels like a scam.
Oh yeah no doubt about that, just felt it didn’t look right being endorsed next to a chip and pin solutions business.
And it shows a WorldPay-branded terminal, but I doubt anything that amateur is WorldPay. Someone trying to get referrals?

It links through to a website of the same name (.com). The fact they’ve also poorly blurred out the data on the card just shouts amateur as @GalaxyMergirl pointed out. I mean why not use a generic vector?
Anyhow…just thought I’d post as it was the Monzo card that grabbed my attention!

Good news everyone! After flagging this with our legal team, we reached out to the company in question and they’ve agreed to remove our card from the advert
