Is there any way to get account number and sort code like in the uk version of monzo as we have a iban number out here in Ireland but I need account number and sort code to receive my wages from the uk
I don’t think that’s going to be possible.
Ireland doesn’t use sort code and account number to route payments anymore, also if you are being paid in Sterling I doubt this will be accepted inbound to an Irish Monzo account.
I believe you’d need to use Revolut (open a GBP account) or Wise doing the same, for account number and sort code.
You can use any free IBAN calculator website where you paste your IBAN and it gives a result of your account number and other details… However, as others already highlighted, I don’t know how Monzo Ireland would accept (or what’s the conversion rate) your GBP receipt.
To be clear, Ireland routes transfers over the SEPA system using IBANs, using the Euro currency.
A Sterling transfer delivered to an account number and sort-code derived from an online calculator via the UK banking system is highly, highly unlikely to arrive at its destination.
