Seeing the virtual cards on the new ‘cheapest plan’. Possibly proves what I assumed, it doesn’t cost Monzo much if anything to give these virtual cards.
I pay for Plus on a personal and also £5 per month on a Monzo Business account.
I am not sure how much it costs Monzo to give me 52 free Greggs coffees (or sausage rolls) per year but it’s not enough for me up upgrade from the £5 per month PLUS I am on now.
But if you gave out 10 virtual cards rather than 5 I would instantly upgrade to the £7 per month Perks. I may never need more than 10 but with 5 it’s just not enough once you get into virtual cards. Eg ‘groceries’ ‘fuel’ ‘subscriptions’ ‘fun’ and ‘shopping’ and then you are full. I like to keep one virtual card connected to an empty Monzo pot to use for semi-trustworthy companies and new subscriptions so if I forget or they take money I didn’t authorise it prevents it, this is a 6th virtual card though so I have to remove another to do this, and so on.
