I recently saw that Monzo released a new function that predicted pay day in upcoming payments section at the top of my summary. For me I get paid tomorrow, I don’t see my wage as an upcoming/incoming payment.
Do I need to turn this on?
You will see this IF you get paid via BACS 
If your employer pays your salary via FPS (Faster Payments) you won’t see anything until the funds hit your account. 
It’s enabled automagically by Monzo, nothing to enable 
It’ll just be because your employer doesn’t use BACS to pay your wage
