For me - itās pretty common use in my social circle (Iām aware that working here might sway that) but I do hear it when Iām out and about (Glasgow).
I do have one friend who asks me to ādo the weird sorcery thingā when it comes to splitting a bill.
āSplit the billā is quite common for me and people to say with all of us obviously meaning through Monzo.
Sidenote - when weāre in a restaurant and my partner/friends/family see a bunch of people trying to figure out a bill split or pay individually they become Monzo spokespersons and start shouting āwouldnāt have that problem with Monzo!ā Whilst elbowing me in the side etc
If I know the other person has Monzo then Iāll use ācan you monzo meā or āIāll monzo youā - my husband and I also very much use bill splitting so the askāll be ācan you do those bill splits?ā. It just makes sense
Slightly bias probably by working here, but my mum also uses āIāll monzo youā so itās not just my generation!
I donāt think I ever say it but just because I donāt think many of my friends have Monzo. So Iāll say something like ābank transfer?ā After weāve sent details we then might discover the other has Monzo but itās rare.
First, Iām disappointed to see this thread isnāt about the word frauded.
But to answer your question, I use āmonzoā as a verb when talking specifically about monzo bill splits, but I donāt use monzo when talking about transfers on any other platform or BACS/FP.
