How long do Monzo take to approve transfer limit?

Hello,
Does anyone know how long it takes for Monzo to approve a transfer increase request?
I was due to send my solicitor a house deposit today which was over the 10,000 daily limit, it wouldn’t allow me so I put the request in via the app last night and followed the relevant steps. I still haven’t heard anything and I’m supposed to be exchanging contracts tomorrow so I’m slightly worried!! I’ve chased it up via the chat and phone-call and have just been told it will be looked at but no time frame. Any advise id appreciate

For me it’s normally come in within a few hours (< 6). So perhaps it’s just because it was overnight and the working day is only just starting.

It varies.

Each request is unique, some might require more investigation than others. Mine, for example, was done in under 5 minutes when I requested it 2 weeks ago.

As a side note, I never understand why people leave the deposit transfer until the last minute :grimacing:

Are you sure it’s tomorrow, Saturday? Most solicitors don’t work weekends and you can’t exchange contracts if they’re closed.

Probably was “tomorrow” when the post was written but not when it was approved

I wrote this post on Thursday and it’s only just been approved :blush:

I applied for a limit increase this afternoon and the app flow said it would be looked at today.
This evening that’s now changed tomorrow, which isn’t helpful given I want to make the payment tomorrow. Live chat just say the can’t do anything.

Unfortunately it feels like Monzo doesn’t have the staff to keep up with these features like it used to even two years ago.
