Can I apply for a Monzo card which my 14 year old child can use abroad?

@Jerseyhouse Hey Simon Our service is currently for 18+ only. Whilst in theory you could set up an account for your son using your own details, there would be complications when it comes to completing the additional identity verification required to lift withdrawal and spending limits (particularly if he has plans to use the card abroad).

Sorry I’ll rephrase that. I was thinking of sending a card for my son to use whilst in Canada on Uni placement. I now believe, he would have to download it to.his UK phone in Canada and then then submit all the details for his home ( UK) address? Could I do it this way?

Yes he could if you’re a Monzo user, you should have a golden ticket that you can send him to speed the process up too.
