How do I get the joint account holder to be able to see account info?

Issue: Joint account holder can’t see balance or transactions

Screenshots: My wife and I both have individual Monzo accounts, as we read these are required before we can have a joint account. I have opened the joint account, funded it and sent her the link Monzo provide. She followed it and now has a joint account on her phone, but it’s a different sort code and different account number. Moreover, her balance remains stubbornly at Zero.

Neither of us has received our physical cards yet - they are forecast to arrive towards the end of this month.

What are we doing wrong, please?

Have you sent the funds to the joint account? Or their personal account?

Joint should be the white tile on the Home Screen. Tapping the white tile should show the sort and account specifically for the joint account.

Thanks, Carlo1460 - at first, I thought you had solved it - as the white card on my phone shows a zero balance. (Although I thought I’d funded it). Obviously I can rectify that right away by shifting money from my personal account.

However, the sort code and account number showing on my phone for our joint account are both different from the joint account on my wife’s phone. I’m therefore reluctant to start switching money around the Monzo system.

Is it likely that her account details will be different from mine, even though it is supposed to be the same account?

Your personal account details will both be different.

Your joint account details will be exactly the same.

I’d send a message through the help section to check with monzo - though does seem strange it’s allocated different details to the joint accounts.

Are you 100% sure you’re tapping the white tile?

If you note yours and your joint account holders white tile details and reach out via help, monzo should be able to resolve.
