Pret is national, but there are large parts of the country that don’t have any, or only one. Myself being in the North of England only has the one store in Newcastle to visit, and I wouldn’t go there just for Pret.
So fairly aligned with population density?
Personally I don’t understand the love for Greggs. A shit coffee and a processed microwaved sausage roll is hardly appealing.
I guess offering a piece of fruit as part of the deal would be significantly more expensive than offering other processed matter.
nowt in Greggs is microwaved !!! its all oven baked, and all the sarnies are made in store
And its better than the pretentious crap at Pret…
Bleedin Southerners lol
Probably, but there are still a large proportion of the population that doesn’t have a Pret anywhere near them, which makes any Pret perk a bit pointless for them.
Where I live (in the South East) we have 3 Greggs stores and one Pret in Town.
Poor you
Yeah, same, I have three within a few miles but the nearest pret is in Brighton
ok make that 3 in town and 2 a few mins drive away for Greggs and still only one Pret within a 25 mile radius
It’s not supposed to be accurate, it’s a meme.
I don’t love love Gregg’s but they are far easier to find. I’m in the south east and my nearest Pret is 10 miles away. There are three Gregg’s in my town alone, god knows how many more in the 10 miles.
So while I would’ve loved a Pret treat I would never be able to bloomin redeem it.
(I haven’t moved to a new tier so my opinion on Gregg’s treats doesn’t really matter)
I think Gail’s can beat both Pret and Greggs
Hey is Scotland not included in the Greggs debate?
I suppose the main problem with the Pret offer over the Greggs offer is that there isn’t one available.
This is pretentious, last week you wouldn’t eat near a container!
Exactly. So people prefer Pret in the area people live (London) and then in the countryside they prefer Greggs.
It’s pretty much wilderness outside of London anyway. Scary place.
Just wait until you go into a Pret, >£5 for a sandwich… its called Pret for a reason PRETentious
I don’t think Greggs is a rip off, its all freshly cooked food, (it goes cold as they are not allowed to keep it warm as that then incurs VAT) and is cheap, you can get a sarnie, a drink and a treat for less than £5
