I don’t know when they introduced this, but PlayStation games can now group their trophies. You get the platinum after gaining all the original single player trophies.

Oh nice. Yeah that seems new. Perhaps time to revisit then. I forget what I had left to do but it wasn’t much.

Exactly 90% - my memory was better than I thought! 5 trophies left, should be easy when I get time.

Also noticed my PS Vita trophies are showing in the app now, that’s cool. Don’t think they did before.

I think the most annoying one was bowing at all the hidden shrines because they were hard to find - what with them being hidden shrines.

Spending an afternoon doing all the fox dens and haikus was a bit tedious too.

I only just realised about bowing :eyes:

Didn’t think it was meant for anything, though likely didn’t pay attention. I’m covering the full bottom map first then going for the castle.

you will chance across small wooden signs that have a symbol of someone bowing on them - if you bow in front of them (swipe down on touchpad) a pointless little animation plays out (e.g. some fish will jump about in the river you’re looking at)

doing 10 of those is one of the trophies

It’s an interesting move. They’ve been making money on the hardware for quite a while already.

Intrigued to see how MS reacts.

It will be to cover the 5 billion we are all getting for them banning and ending third party key sales

I’ve had mine for 18 months now, so not affected, but a lot of people were paying a lot more than an additional Ā£30 due to the lack of availability, so if that’s finally sorted then I don’t see a huge problem. It’s hardly a huge price hike.

Also. The fact is now you can’t buy on its own. It is always (when I see them come up on stock informer) in a bundle (at the moment generally with forbidden west) that vary in size/ price. I imagine it is because they can’t sell more the console for more but want to commit people to more money. Also makes it harder for scalpers (benefit of the doubt maybe but feel they could solve that in other ways).
To be fair I originally got mine in a bundle with a year of ps plus and an extra controller…

I got mine with the media remote and a shitty t-shirt.

From an article in the Guardian today:

Microsoft told Video Games Chronicle that the Xbox Series X/S price will remain the same (Ā£250-Ā£450 depending on the model), and the cost of Nintendo’s Switch won’t budge either, as company president Shuntaro Furukawa pledged in June.

I find it hard to work up any outrage over the rise myself. As a luxury goods item (in my book), I don’t think it would put anyone off buying the console if they intended to (maybe one less game). And those put off by the higher price would’ve been put off by the old price also, anyway.

I was more outraged when Nintendo massively cut the price of an N64 shortly after launch, clearly demonstrating early adopters had massively been taken advantage of.

If I remember correctly, they did compensate early buyers with free games (or some other value add).

I wouldn’t say I’m outraged, but my standard MO is two wait out the first two years of new PS hardware and buy the first revision slim.

I’m not holding my breath this gen, and TBH am still very happy with my Series S.

Normally though the ps5 would be in price cut territory as consoles generally come down in price as they go they life (same tech easier to produce, slim versions etc) but as they still can’t satisfy almost initial demand, it is not following the same pattern as say ps4/ ps3. Ultimately most money made on games and now subscription for ps plus etc and the console itself has been a loss leader. Will right itself at some point.

My cousin was one of these early adopters. He got one free game. Maybe a slight refund besides. But this didn’t bridge the whole of the price drop, so he had still paid a premium on a console for more or less no reason, it felt.

Finally reached Act 2 in Ghost

Really taking my time, but without using the wind to find the extra bits, I managed to locate the lot minus a few records/flags.

Don’t usually like the explorer types but I’m honestly gripped.

Been playing Shredder’s Return on my Series S.

Not sure, how many times I can go on about how amazing Game Pass is!

It is very good value. I’m on the mid tier playstation pass thing, not explored much but Stray was worthwhile and clearly Ghost is.

I’ve still got games untouched from when I got my ps5 almost a year ago
