Tbh I’m not bothered by loyalty points, always a bonus but not something that influences my spending.
I often dislike suggestions, might just be me but I usually dismiss those notifications, delete the emails.
No idea lol.
As with another user, I also agree:
I want receipt to be printable.
I want receipt to be ‘good enough’ that I could return item based on digital receipt.
Is this integrated with Monzo now, or do I need to get the Flux app and link accounts? Or still in trial?
Also, any idea when you may expand retailers? I love this idea, but at the moment it feels like it’s an EAT App lol.
If it means I don’t get those hideous email receipts from retailers I can’t wait, I’ve spend far to long spelling out my email address in store only for it to get spammed with advertising shortly after purchase.
I would rather use something like office lens, take a scan of the receipt and have the native functionality in Monzo’s. It would be great to then have someone develop an export capability for business expenses.
Is there any update on the availability of Flux for Monzo users who weren’t part of the trial?
It seems to have gone a bit quiet yet Flux’s twitter feed talks about their ‘awesome’ partnership with Starling bank on the 6th of April. Are Monzo users being left behind?
The trial does still appear to be working, im getting itemised receipts from eat. Alas Eats food range has gotten less exciting so I hardly ever get lunch there.
Apologies for the radio silence. I really appreciate all of the feedback and I’m sorry we don’t have the full Monzo integration at the moment, I’ll definitely let you know as soon as I have more news. Stay tuned!
Although we’ve been quiet on the forum there’s been a lot going on at Flux. We’ll be announcing new retailers over the next few weeks and we’re adding new functionality to receipts to make them much more useful. For example you’ll be able see the nutritional breakdown of your lunch instead of just a description of the item.
I’d also like to be kept in the loop for this would be a great feature and certainly the biggest step yet to making Monzo more than just a banking app?
Also +1 for the nutritional info being able to link to myfitnesspal directly that would be incredibly useful.
Does anyone know what the current state of itemised transaction data is? Is this data available from the likes of mastercard etc for some uses, or simply not available? How is flux getting hold of it? It seems like they partner directly with retailers, which won’t really scale.
Flux add something to the retailers POS system. So technically they have to get retailers to agree on adding it, and of course there’s all the various POS systems around that will likely require unique implementation.
The reality is it’s a big hairy problem, it’s a tough nut to crack but we’ve figured it out. Scaling is hard but again we’re getting to stage where the flywheel is really picking up.
We believe in action more than words so looking forward to sharing more soon!
