Whats strange is theres a button in the app to create pots when you’re under Joint Accounts… but then when you create it, it sticks it in your current account… very confusing
That’s interesting. I guess you could have the option to split everything spent on the joint card in half, or have it be it’s own thing.
Surely “their” instead of “the” too?
That would give me an image of a couple of Hot Coral cards getting into a Monzo branded taxi and driving to your doorstep.
I would assume that the joint account has its own independent Summary screen, so when you spend on the joint card, it appears there.
I also assume this is how things currently stand. My point is, would a different system better reflect people’s actual needs / usage?
If the money is coming out of your joint account wouldn’t it just confuse things to have it showing in your individual account?
Perhaps. But if Monzo’s long term vision is to redefine banking, this is the sort of feature I’d like to see.
Just done a transfer from personal to joint account but the screen doesn’t give me my balance and I wanted to transfer it all so had to remember the amount. Would be useful to see both balances on that screen.
Has anyone been able to get Joint on Android yet?

Think we’re waiting on the 2.3.0 update. Tried mashing the check for updates button but no sign of it just yet.
I’m holding off using it yet until CASS is available for JAs. I did it manually in the CA launch phase, and cannot be bothered to do it again (there’s also a lot more DDs on JA).
Is there a timeline on when it might be available?
I’ve just sent money to a new account (had to enter the sort code and account number) via “Send via bank transfer” and afterwards I found that the account wasn’t showing up under Payments > Recent.

If you are looking at doing CASS make sure you do FULL and not partial.
Full - Moves everything and closes your old account. All payments are covered for 24 months I think
Partial - Just moved the DDs
I did the Partial for the current account and it was a nightmare, everything failed. I’m definately going to do it manually from now on and make sure things get done
I don’t want to close the old account, so want to attempt the partial. All in the name of testing I suppose.
I’ll await the go-ahead from Monzo to give this a go.
Monzo 2.3.0 for Android just showed up in the Play Store, but I don’t see any option to open a joint account yet.
The feature flag probably hasn’t been enabled on your account. Same for me.
Maybe they were waiting for the app to roll out, let’s hope so
Considering one of the things that was on the big list was iOS-Android parity I find it odd that iOS selected users have had the joint account option available for a while now while the Android equivalent are still waiting…
