Farewell

On the general topic of pro- and anti- views, I think criticism (and praise) is all about presentation and post quantity comes as a part of that (my opinion only, since I’m still allowed to have opinions :innocent:).

To be clear, NONE of this is aimed at any individual so, purely hypothetically, I think that having reservations is fine, having the same reservations every 10 posts in a thread or across 200 threads across the same afternoon is not since that comes across as some sort of agenda. Similarly, stating that “this is wrong” will always annoy where “I think this is wrong” is a much clearer statement of opinion. For this same reason quoting “facts” will always provoke those who don’t share the same factual interpretation (for whatever reason e.g. ignorance or education).

It’s all a matter of degree and that balance comes at a different point for everyone which is where some of the recent ‘excitement’ seems to have come from :frowning: .

For the very reason I suspect @anon72173902 created it…

As much as we often disagreed @nanos, I will be sorry to see you go.

I do strongly believe criticism is a good thing, and I believe everybody should nudge anything that’s wrong to make a better product for everyone. It’s a shame there will be one less critical voice for Monzo.

Although, I do strongly agree with @Feathers, and I think voicing concerns and making sure somebody is listening is one thing, but reiterating a view wherever possible, whether positive or negatives, does come across as having an agenda.

As requested by @nanos I’m going to lock this thread to prevent any further controversy

We’ll all be sorry to see him go and it will be sad to not see another familiar face around the forum.

Thank you for all your contributions!
