Face recognition selected, but if still does not work

I switch Face Recognition ON, then my P’word, use the App, logout, Open App, same question, still have to use my password.
Please assist

Don’t log out. Just close the app fully and log back in.

On iPhone, swipe up and hold from the bottom of your screen, on Android; usually a button to show all open apps.

Then just swipe them up to close them.

Logging out of the monzo app via settings will log you out completely, and is possibly why you’re not getting the response you want when trying to log back in.

If I do what you recommend, that is to swipe up when my Monzo account is open, then, the only way I can access my Monzo account again, I need to click on my Monzo App logo, and it opens my account (therefore it has not closed the App, and anyone using my phone can click on the App logo, and have access to my Monzo bank account!)

Therefore I have not logged out with that method.

The only way I can logout, is to open Settings in the App and logout from there.

Again, to reiterate, if I logout from Settings, and login again, once again it offered me to select Face recognition in future.

If I select yes, I then need to put in my 4 digit Pin to open Monzo.
So I select YES, put in my Pin, and I open my Monzo banking App.

So I’m still just going around in circles.

Am I missing some detail from what you are suggesting?

You don’t need to log out of the app every time, FaceID will be required after you haven’t used it for a few minutes. Or, go to Settings > Privacy & Security and enable App lock, this will require FaceID every time.

Every time you log out manually, the FaceID option will get reset and you’d need to re-enter the PIN. You’re creating the problem of having to enter the PIN by logging out every time.

Profile > Privacy & Security > “App lock” - Require iOS passcode or FaceID to access Monzo.

Toggle that on then it will do what you want.
