Meaning there’s a good chance we’ll go extinct-by-self-non-reproduction before Mother Earth decides we have to go? How very ‘Children of Men’ - imagine being the last person alive in a world that is hopefully still habitable by then!
I should probably rephrase that the source I read said “Have one fewer child”, but I’m not sure how that works in practice.
Out of all the dystopian futures to live though I don’t know if Children of Men would be the one I want.
There’s clearly 0% chance of that
According to U.K. government the largest emitter is transport and it is the reason that there is an imperative to move to electric and hydrogen energy for transport as quickly as possible.
I believe that the work being done by XR should be applauded, many leaders of industry and ordinary folk will be much more aware of the climate emergency as a result of it.

There was a group blocking the road this afternoon as I walked back from work. The punishment for this type of action needs to be far more severe. I feel very sorry for those that are trying to put food on their table for their families, and are hindered from carrying out their work. Protesting is fine, but if you choose to break the law, you should be punished. If you want to change government policy, you vote for a political party that shares your ideology, that’s how democracy works.
