Exercise during corona virus

Anybody else doing much more exercise since the lock down ? I am and hope to keep it up once it’s over

Doing about 8 miles of bike riding a day, some resistance band training and now got an awesome punch ball which I set up earlier

Have you put a picture of your postman/woman on the punch ball?!

I’m actually finding I’m doing less exercise. Normally get my exercise playing footy & tennis but that’s not happening now! Need to go out for a run or something, but just find it tedious :frowning:

I was exercising more than pre lockdown the first couple of weeks. Now I’m eating chocolate and spend most of the day within a metre of the couch.

I use to go gym everyday, some times twice a day. I was prepping for a bodybuilding competition. All cancalled and gone down hill. Not done any training since the lockdown. Just trying to maintain the body thru strict diet now.

Yes I found the discipline of actually going into the gym every day much easier.

Fair play. I used to be an avid bodybuilder but now I focus on cardio and being healthy :+1:t4:

I can no longer run due to a badly damaged ankle. I usually do cardio in the gym (rowing, cycling, elliptical cross training). Since that’s not currently possible, I’ve begun going for long walks every morning.

To avoid crowded spaces and to get home in time to start work, I tend to leave the house very early (often before 5am). I’ve so far covered 495 kms in 44 days. I have to admit that it’s doing wonders for my mental health.

I am doing a lot more exercise. I have made a routine for cardio and weight lifting. My dog’s recovery from a knee operation coincided pretty much with the start of all this so we go for very long walks everyday.

I’m cycling a lot. I usually go at night when the roads are quiet. I want to be able to cycle or walk to most places as I don’t see myself going on a bus or underground anytime soon.

Anyone into bike riding there’s an app called Cyclemeter which calculates your mileage , speed and routes you can store to do personal bests :+1:t4:

I have the same problem as u, but the with my knees. Jogging on grass usually helps, rather than running on the road
