Don't go, coral card! šŸ˜

I still prefer a black card. Black with a silver edge.

Sounds classy, but still favouring hot coral!!!

I like this but maybe the hot coral the card is now as I think the silver would basically be the same as white?

The new John Lewis card has it too:

Something that may be worth considering by @anon91821566 and @hugo for much further down the line would be the option to customise cards for a price. The option for each user to customise their card once and allowing users options like:
Custom colour - £3.50
Custom edges - £1
Thermochromatic card - £5 etc etc.

It would have to obviously cost more than the price of the materials in order to make it worthwhile for Monzo and cover other costs. A system such as the Golden ticket process could stagger applications and prevent users spamming the system. If users understood that if they lost their custom card they would have to wait for another ticket. As for card expirations it could be handled in advance. There may be many other factors to take into account of course.

That is such a nice idea! Imagine turning up with a hot neon blue card. :fire:

future users won’t be as enthusiastic as us

How is that even possible? :disappointed:

I think one of the reasons people trust Apple Pay and Android Pay a lot more than naked contactless cards is because they only allow payment when the phone is unlocked. So when I pay with android pay, I put my finger on my fingerprint reader while swiping it and it’s so seamless. This way, no one can just walk past and skim money off your card without even touching you.

Just out of interest, conventional banks have protections in case this happens. If my HSBC card gets stolen, then I wouldn’t lose any money. Does Monzo have something similar? i.e. My monzo card is stolen, I don’t notice until ages later, meanwhile the theives have taken Ā£N. What would happen in this case?

Normally the standard practice (i think) is that providing you tell your bank within 24 hours you’ll be refunded.

In a situation like this before anything else freeze card is a must!

We would open an investigation, and reverse or goodwill credit any transactions on the account you don’t recognize.

i like the idea and would be willing to pay for the privilege - maybe one for the future

Barclays allow you to print a picture on their cards I don’t think it looks great with the text over

I have in the past had a picture of a solid gold colour or solid black and it made a standard card look a bit more premium

no it doesnt. but having that option would be… (even though its not gonna happen for the foreseeable future)

Haha that’s cheating the system

New design for HSBC.

I like those but can’t help but think of Stratton Beaumont and Wolf of Wall Street…

Just had my Monzo card arrive and wow, that colour! I love it. My mother even made a comment about the ā€˜shocking pink’ look. I corrected her naturally. Hot Coral is the way of the future, long may it continue.

There is only one colour I’d choose over Hot Coral, and that would be Acid Yellow.

Option for the credit card perhaps? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
