Hey guys,
Just wondering, do you use Monzo as your main bank to pay for all your bills/direct debits etc?
Hey guys,
Just wondering, do you use Monzo as your main bank to pay for all your bills/direct debits etc?
Yep
Yes.
I do too.
I know there are accounts were cashback is given on direct debits ect but I like how Monzo tells me when a DD will be higher/lower.
Also keeping it all under one roof, I chopped it down to the price of convenience.
Did not not anymore, when Monzo’s customer service gets fixed then I’ll switch back.
We do. As @Cameron says, we could probably save money by going elsewhere but I like having everything under one roof and the visibility Monzo gives me. For example, I signed up to a free trial and forgot about it () but because Monzo showed the pending transaction in my feed, I was actually able to cancel it in time. That alone has probably cancelled out the minor savings we would have made via cash back on a different account.
Yes, so easy with DD from pots so easy to track and budget
Yes I do.
No. Standing order to a legacy bank for cashback
I do, really like the ability to put the money for bills and committed spending into a pot. Allows me to budget what I have left over and manage my money better than I ever have.
No.
My bills are all paid separately, each month I put the required amount in that account. Monzo is my cash/spending account.
I prefer the visual separation of out of sight out of mind, which Monzo doesn’t offer.
Monzo is spending account only. Like @gmclean I value keeping spending and bills separate.
Yes! I was always (I think) on top of my money, but Monzo has given me a whole new level of visibility and control.
What he said
Yes
Sure do

Yeah, I’ve used it since it launched (I was at the very first event where current account cards were handed out) and moved all my DDs over manually immediately, and got my salary paid in. I keep my old RBS account so I can drop in cash easily and move it over, but all my income and outogings go via Monzo.
I was just talking to a new colleague who was complaining about Lloyds being so useless, I suggested Monzo and she said she has an account but just moves money over to spend, she was worried about the depositing cash issue too as her parents tend to give her a lot in cash, but I told her what I do and she realised that would make her life easier.
Yes I do, indeed.
