No.
Yes
I would also like to keep the two separate, but I hope as bills pots become more refined this will happen over time. For the moment, visibility is more important to me (especially the number of times certain merchants have messed up
). For me, the preferred solution would be to have a feed toggle. Most of our bills go out on payday, and especially as we use bills pots, the feed can get pretty busy and confusing.
Yep the full sha-bang! We use the joint account. The wife and I will be getting business accounts too when they arrive. Couldnāt be happier or more confident with Monzo.
Going Full Monzo has given me SO much more control over my finances. Iām different to some people in here in that working on an āout of sight out of mindā way, meant I had very little track of what was happening with my money. I remember when I had a TSB current account, three credit cards and Monzo for spending, when I decided to try and get on top of it and do some budgeting and realised I needed some kind of budgeting app, but they were all paid subscription based. And then I realised I had budgeting tools in Monzo, but for it to work effectively for me, Iād have to go Full Monzo. I did so, sorted my committed spending out, and set the budget tool, and havenāt looked back. My finances are in such a better state now.
No. As Iāve said before in similar threads, having two accounts has been something of a revelation for me. Monzo is a great discretionary spending account, but having access to another bankās features, including branches for paying in cash or cheques, as well as keeping necessary expenditure protected from my daily spend is really useful.
Yep
No.
The Plus debacle and ongoing terrible engagement has made me question Monzoās direction and means of getting there. So I voted with my feet and Starling has my account just now.
Iām full Monzo
My bills into a pot automatically using salary sorted and then my direct debits and standing orders are set to be taken from my bills pot.
So simple
No. I pay main direct debit bills from another bank due to cashback. However anything I donāt get Cashback for gets paid through Monzo.
@Sheraz could you add a poll to your opening post?
For the foreseeable future, No.
Like others have said, I like to keep necessary expenditure separate from day to day spending.
Salary goes into my Nationwide account, and all bills are paid from there.
(no other spending from this account, I donāt even bother carrying the debit card anymore)
I transfer a fixed amount every week into my Monzo account for day to day spending.
(same amount every week no matter what I spend, which is now building nicely)
Any excess left in my Nationwide at the end of the month is then transferred to savings.
Yes, since october
never looking back
Yes since December 2018 JA.
Never had issues with support or mailing in cheques never really use cash home or abroad.
But as of start of November every transaction now on CC and paid in full every month via the ābills potā in Monzo
Yes!
Yep, and I use Bill Pots to hide away the majority of my routine debits, plus a few IFTTT integrations to do the same for certain card merchants.
I prefer the simplicity of everything in one place, over the benefit of cashback.
Hiya, I donāt know how to add a poll Iām still very new to this forum haha
Loving the strong responses in favour of using Monzo as their main account for bills
I also appreciate the ones who separate their bills and spending accounts too!
No, for me thatās Starling, which gets my salary too. Monzo is a spending account only.
Clean separation this way and no reason to switch that and use Monzo for salary and DDs with Starling for spending.
Yes, since the current account launched, and Iām really happy with it.
I also have a joint account elsewhere for some shared bills, and donāt intend to move that till Monzo has a more compelling joint offering which doesnāt require a personal account for each holder.
It does now ![]()
