Hi, I have a Monzo business account and needed to transfer some money to it to get started but got very confused about which of the names to use when entering ther transfer details. My account is registered as something like MyCompany Limited trading as MyName Studio. Do I enter that whole string? The ‘trading as’ name is on the debit card and on all my stationery so can I just use that? That would be best! Can I use any of them? I’m new to this!
Think of as “What would a customer know me as?”
If I’m paying you for something, what would I expect that account to be called. It’s only a basic check anyway and it doesn’t stop me paying you if it doesn’t match.

OK cool, I’ll use the ‘trading as’ name in the future then for bank transfers and when giving details to customers. And when I enter card details somewhere, do I enter my full name that’s on the card or the ‘trading as’ name that’s also on the card?
Conformation of Payee service worked for me with “Trading Name” or “Trading Name Solutions Ltd”. No one ever had a problem paying whichever one they used to set the payment up.
I did however have the trading name at the top of my invoices in large print, and the full registered name with the bank details in the “how to pay this invoice” small print.
