Do I need to update the address on my shares?

I invested using CrowdCube many moons (and several flat moves) ago. My CrowdCube account is up to date, but when I download my “Ownership Statement” it still has the address I was living at when I invested… does this matter? Is it a problem? If so, how do I rectify it?

(No, CrowdCube aren’t interested, I’ve already checked their FAQs.)

Thanks.

I have no categorical answer to this, but I always thought that as the shares are held by the Crowdcube nominee, there’s no need to do anything except update your address in Crowdcube.

Another assumption, but I thought that the ownership statement was just produced at the time of investment with whatever details you had at the time. A bit like an old bank statement.

Ah, that’s cool. If you’re right, I guess the “Ownership Statement” is largely superficial.

If it helps, I’d had some (very very) low value exits and they’ve just put the money in my bank account. No one wanted to check my address.

Already covered:

I knew someone was going to post that screenshot. That’s why I specifically mentioned it and linked to it… it didn’t help.

Apologies, I didn’t click your link. I just knew this had been asked previously about asking to update an address.

No problem. Please just delete the image. Anyone scan-reading it will likely be under the misapprehension it was a helpful answer (this has apparently happened once already), which will reduce the chances of me getting an authoritative answer. Thanks.

Have you asked crowdcube direct? I thought the answer was helpful, but admittedly not in your case. Would anyone on here be able to give an authorative answer?

Good luck with your search!
