Cruise insurance cover

Hello I have Monzo premium with the worldwide insurance cover provided by zurich

My wife is pregnant but signed off to go on cruise by doctor

Would this cause any issues with the insurance?

They also want a certificate proving insurance for the length of cruise however on the app you can only choose one destination?

Thanks

Honestly I’d consider getting better insurance for the trip. It’s very poor quality in what it covers, and you might not find it sufficient.

But…

We don’t cover medical expenses for a normal pregnancy.

Cruises have some specific risks that most travel insurance policies will not cover. We’ve had the same issue with our HSBC Premier included policy. It doesn’t cover those extra risks.

You may arrive at a port but miss your departure, a cruise-specific policy will pay for you to travel to the next port of call and re-join your cruise. Many policies will only pay for you to get home, and won’t allow you to re-join your cruise.

It’s very common to miss a departure, especially on excursions. Some ships will wait for you (especially if you’ve booked the excursion through them), others will just leave on-time and expect you to meet them at the next port.

Staysure are a good option for cruise-specific cover, we’ve found.

Which cruise line are you going with? It’s a brilliant type of holiday. Virgin Voyages are good (adults only).
