Its more everything is “someone else’s problem”. Everyone is terrified it would seem of taking ownership

Worked with the NHS a few times (IT roles funnily enough!)

The biggest problem with the NHS isn’t funding or staffing or management (although these are all issues). Rather that it’s such a massively important political issue that there’s real fear from the very top down of changing anything in case they balls it up and bring down the government.

Can I PM you? As the IT advice would be great.Yeah I get that impression

I mean you’re absolutely welcome to but I’m a recruiter - I’m not technical and I’ve never worked with any NHS systems I just used to put the people in that did!

Has there been any talks about vaccinations?

They still haven’t got one so no

Not strictly true - there’s been endless talk about a vaccine. Just nothing useful…

To the original question: there won’t be any useful news RE: a vaccine for months. There’s no way to accelerate the trial process (that they’ve already started).

Yep lots, check any news app or website it will tell you.

Just none yet proven to work as still in trials or discovery mode, so nothing ready to start been mass produced

:flushed:

Why would you do that?

Seems like a completely expected move from a government that could take 5% of global COVID-19 cases and turn it into >11% of global deaths.

Looks like I won’t be short of “I told you so” moments for the forseeable future :man_facepalming:

That’s because our testing is way behind most other countries, not because our death rate is higher xx

That still displays a certain level of incompetence. Quite a high level given the severity of the issue.

Couldn’t expect anything else from this useless government :rofl:

UK may ditch NHS contact-tracing app for Apple and Google model
